Veneers are thin, custom-made moldings that cover the fronts of your teeth. They are crafted from lifelike, high-tech materials to portray a bright, natural smile. If you are looking to improve your smile, custom-fitted veneers can provide the answer.
Veneers are used to enhance the natural appearance of your smile with little to no discomfort. Only a small amount of the tooth structure is removed during the procedure, often no anesthesia is needed. Porcelain veneers are durable, strong, stain resistant. Veneers require multiple smile visits to customize your smile design and due to the fabrication process.
A porcelain crown is a tooth-colored covering that encases the entire tooth to give it its natural shape and size. Crowns are used to strengthen the tooth structure when typical fillings cannot be used.
Porcelain crowns are made to match the exact shape, color and size of your teeth to give you that natural, long-lasting beautiful smile you’ve always wanted. The most common reasons for needed a crown is for fractured or broken teeth, cosmetic enhancement, decay, large fillings and root canals.
The procedure typically requires two appointments. First the dentist must make precise molds of the tooth to be used to create your custom crown. A temporary crown will be placed over the tooth for approximately two weeks until the new crown is fabricated. Your second visit will be to remove the temporary crown while tooth is numb and the tooth will be thoroughly cleaned and your new crown will be carefully set to ensure the spacing and bite are accurate.
A dental bridge is an excellent way to replace missing teeth, maintain facial shape, prevent drifting teeth, restore chewing and speaking ability, and give you a more permanent natural smile. The bridge consists of two crowns that are applied to two anchoring teeth. The crowns are attached to the artificial teeth that fill the gap created by missing teeth.
Tooth whitening is the #1 requested and performed cosmetic dental procedure. A variety of options are available today for patients to brighten their smiles.
In-office whitening often can be accomplished in one visit to the dentist in about 1 hour.
At-home Dentist-Supervised Whitening
The patient wears a custom-fitted mouth tray containing a whitening gel each day. The average patient will wear mouth trays one to two weeks. Proper Fitting Mouth Trays: Often, over-the-counter whitening trays do not fit the patient’s mouth properly. Improperly fitting trays may leak the whitening gel and can result gum irritation and a less effective treatment.
